And there is a Kav called Kav HaCharuvin [the measure of carobs], which was the death and destruction of the aforementioned kings; and it is not as pure as the first, because it is from the phase of the posteriors, in which the Klipot have their hold, which caused the destruction of the kings, as will be written, God willing. And they are the phase of the four posteriors that there are in the four names AB, SAG, MA, BON, which are the sixth degree that there is in each one of them, as above, for in the posteriors the fillings of each one of them have twenty-six letters of filling, except for the name BON, whose filling of its posteriors has only twenty-four letters; the sum of all their letters is one hundred and two.

1Kav HaCharuvin [the measure of carobs], which was the death and destruction of the kings, etc., because it is from the phase of the posteriors: For all the fillings of AB, SAG, MA, and BON that served in Nekudim in the phase of the Gadlut [greatness/adulthood] of ZAT were destroyed and fell to BYA, from the seventh degree onward of the phase of AB of Nekudim, as the ARI writes in Gate 18, Chapter 2. And since the main reckoning of the aforementioned ten Kabin is according to the relation of the upper Gadlut of Nekudim, in relation to which Gadlut all the five Partzufim of Atzilut are reckoned as the NRNHY of the expansion of Keter, and lack the nine lower ones, as above, therefore the ARI here reckons only the phase of the destruction of the phase of AB of Nekudim, that is, from the seventh degree onward, which fell to BYA. Now, these phases that fell to BYA are not reckoned as the phase of the 102 of carobs, but only the phases of the records that remained in Atzilut, in which the shells take hold, in the phase of the absence of the lights that vanished from them, and from this absence comes all the sustenance and the right of existence of the shells, meaning, so long as that absence does not return and become filled, as it was before the breaking of the vessels, the shells are found holding on to the sparks and vessels that fell to their portion in BYA. And at the time when all these vessels and sparks that fell to BYA rise back up, then these records return and take back their whole portion that they had at the time of Nekudim, then death is swallowed up forever, and the shells are nullified and burned away from the world as though they had never entirely existed, and one looks upon their place and they are no more. Thus the whole right of existence and sustenance of the shells is from the phase of the absences of holiness, which are the records of the great degrees that remained in Atzilut after the breaking of the vessels. And these records are the phase of the posteriors of AB, SAG, MA, and BON of the time of the Gadlut of the ten Sefirot of the stature of AB, which served at its time in Nekudim, called the look of the Einayim of AVI, which expanded until the Sium [end] of the legs of AK, as above. And these posteriors are the sixth degree of the HaVaYot of AB, SAG, MA, and BON, which are 102 letters, whose records remained in their great absence in Atzilut, and they are called the 102 of carobs, for the whole great destruction is recognized in those records, from which onward all of them already fell to BYA, as above.
