And behold, all the days between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur are the aspect of "His left hand under my head," which is the matter of the embrace of the left. And the matter is that the matter of the sawing is the matter of casting away the harsh judgments that are in the Achoraim of the male, and giving them to the female; and he remains Hesed and the Nukva entirely judgment. And in order to mitigate and sweeten the judgments in the Nukva, he embraces her with his left hand, as is known, for judgments are not mitigated except at their root.

1The root of the judgment of the Nukva is the left hand of ZA. As written above, that the Nukva within the Guf [body] of ZA, which is the left side within him, and which is reckoned as the BON of ZA, is the root of the separated Nukva. As above, page 1729, the passage beginning “And therefore.” See there.
2And he embraces her with his left hand, and then they are mitigated and subdued and sweetened. That is, that he bestows upon the separated Nukva the Mochin of the Binot and Gevurot that he received on her behalf in the inclusion in the coupling in the upper AVI, at the time of the deep slumber. For through this the bottom Hey descends from her Einayim to the place of the Peh [mouth], and she restores her AHP; and then all the judgments in her are sweetened, since she now attains the discernment of GAR [first three] of the Gevurot. For through the descent of the bottom Hey from the Einayim she attains the NHY of vessels, that is, the lower thirds of each and every Sefira of her ten Sefirot, together with the GAR of the lights of BON, which are the Binot and Gevurot.
3Hochma and the Atara of Hesed remain without their garments, in the discernment of surrounding light upon the Rosh [head] of ZA: That is to say, that they rose as MAN [Mayin Nukvin] to AVI, which is called a deep slumber; and from the standpoint of the ascent they are reckoned as surrounding light upon the Rosh of ZA, for the lights that are in the upper one are reckoned as surrounding light for the lower one. However, Bina and Gevura of the Mochin are not then reckoned as surrounding light for the Rosh of ZA, and this is because at the time of the ascent to AVI, ZA was included in the discernment of back to back with his Hochma and Hesed alone, since the Bina and Gevura of his Mochin were included in Ima, in whom the Nukva was included; and Bina and Gevura are found clothing in the Nukva alone, as above. And therefore Bina and Gevura are not reckoned as surrounding light for ZA, but only Hochma and Hesed.
4Bina and the Atara of Gevura clothe within the Hod of Bina alone, and enter within the Nukva in the discernment of Mochin. As above in the adjacent item, that Bina and the Atara of Gevura are included in Ima at the time of the ascent of the MAN [Mayin Nukvin], and Ima clothes them in the Nukva who is then included in her. And what he says, within the Hod of Bina alone, is to emphasise that Ima bestows in her only from the discernment of her left, that is, her BON alone, and not the MA within her, which are the Hochma and Hesed of Ima that are in her right, which is Netzah. However, from the standpoint of clothing there is necessarily here the whole NHY of Ima, as written above. And this will be explained further ahead at length.
